Will either flavor of sync work with HD?

We have, from time to time, I MAG jobs for large group gatherings. I cannot seem to get the vaunted one line delay (ATEM 1 Switcher) to work with my SDI HD cameras that accept BL, CS and Tri Sync. Is Tri Sync mandatory for HD? The delay I have is the 3-5 frame variety. My camera manual is unclear about this, as is the ATEM manual. I am using a Horita BSG-50 for sync. For I MAG jobs, one line would help us a bunch since we must feed the projectors from another switcher.

What camera(s) are you using? We originally had a panasonic camera that added 3-4 frames of delay directly on the hd-sdi output (???) and when we reported the problem they replaced it for free. Have you tried hooking the camera up directly to a projector? If not, I would try adding one device at a time into your signal chain to determine exactly where the delay is coming from, since the ATEM should only be adding 1 frame of delay (if hooked up right).
