Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI Yellow Line

PostFri Oct 16, 2020 7:42 pm

I have a problem with my video wall output when inputting signal from my Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI. I am converting hdmi to sdi then have a 150ft sdi line run to my video processor. Then I am converting back to hdmi. In the processor output it produces a yellow stripe of pixels on the very left side of my output (one pixel wide on a vertical line).

I do not have this issue when using any of my projectors or monitors at home. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

No I didn’t. Spoke with BMD and they had no answers. Poor 4:2:2 decoding to internal colorspace of the receiver can do that. Tries to make up pixel from info that doesn’t exist.

the yellow line seems to only happen when we have DVI involved. occasionally sources will only have DVI inputs so we use a HDMI-to-DVI cable out of the SDI converter. when DVI isn’t involved, everything is fine and there is no yellow line.
