Two way transmitter for camera

Hello,

We live stream in a church. One of the cameras is handheld (BM Pocket Cinema 6K). We connected it with this - ACCSOON CineView HE Wireless Video Transmission System.

The problem is it sends a signal one way, from the camera to the switchboard. As a result, the operator doesn't know when he is live or previewed.

Is there a similar system that can send signals both ways?

We tried communicating over the radio (You are live! You are off!), but that is just exhausting and tough in a loud environment.

It can receive and transmit signals. But how to connect it to my camera? It would require another transceiver, but I can find nothing.

It sounds like you want wireless tally lights? There are various ways to do this including an app on a phone and things like cuebi.

It's not only tally light. If we can send signal back, we would be able to control camera from the switch board and adjust colors.

I see- you want two-way for HDMI or SDI to your camera. I know some wireless transmitters/receivers talk to each other to find the channel. You might try accsoon after-sales support at support_en at accsoon.com.

We solve that with wireless comms. Also allows me to direct the camera-op about what shot I want, so may be a better overall solution here.

Looks like it is exactly what I was looking for, but the cheapest system is $3000, which is a bit too much for our 2,000 cameras. Heck, I got so excited, and then disappointed in a span of 10 minutes.

That's what we do now, but since the operator is right next to the stage it isn't very reliable, sometimes he can't hear commands clearly. Also, it's annoying to tell all the time "You are live, you are off," and we want to add another camera like that which is going to make it a whole new level mess.

I believe we will go with Cuebi tally lights - they are $500 for two, not that terrible. It doesn't solve the problem of controlling the camera from the switchboard, but can't find something better yet.

We are just growing and trying to make something watchable yet, so we look at Red Rock Church and Elevation style and try to improve what we can.

I would also suggest upgrading your comms. Being able to communicate clearly to your camera operators should not be underrated. They don't just need to know when they are on, but need to know in advance when you plan to go to them so they don't suddenly change their shot before receiving tally. Industry standard is to use camera numbers to distinguish between cameras, so for example: "coming to 1" *cut to 1* "on 1". You should also be directing the cameras, because you can see all the camera angles and what the end product looks like, whereas they can only see things from their perspective.

Our technical director have found the Middle Thing (APC-R), we just connected it and saw it doesn't transmit tally signal. And then I see your suggestion of tally light! Thank you very much!
