Color matching URSA Broadcast G1 VS G2

PostMon Sep 18, 2023 2:29 pm

Is there anyone who can colormatch (special red) a G1 and G2. G1 is making a propper red color but G2 make a lousy red.

I have had this exact same issue with our Ursa Broadcast G2s. Primary red tends towards megenta (i.e just plain awful), despite white balancing and much adjustment using the ATEM Camera Control Panel. Whereas my Canon PTZ CR-N500 and Sony FX9 nail primary red with practically no adjustment, aside from white balance.
2 x Sony FX9, 2 x Sony FX6, 6 x Ursa Broadcasts, 2 x Canon CR-N500 PTZeds with MRMC auto-tracking, ATEM CCU, ATEM TV Studio 4K. NewTek Tricaster TC1 and 460. Dataton Watchout, Reckeen 3D Studio & vMix 4K

Hi Louis (and others that have the same problem)
Could you please mail support about the issue, because they tell me that I could ajust it with the ATEM Camera Control etc. Im quit convinced that its not possibly. I want Blackmagic to create a LUT who match G1
Best regards

Yep, your photos illustrate perfectly our identical colour problem.

Did you turn off gamut compression?

Good Luck

Hi,
same problem here. Fujinon HA23x7,6BERD lens on G2. It's annoying problem in broadcast. We can't always use the camera as we would like.
We are still looking for any solution - maybe some LUT?
Turn gamut compression on/off didn't solve the problem :(
I think we have already tried everything possible and impossible.
