AIDA Imaging PTZ3-X20L. Anyone have experience w/ this cam?

Thanks for clicking. I'm researching to add a third camera to a lecture hall. I'm still using a ATEM 1 M/E. I previously had two cameras with only 30fps/60fps and had to use Decimators to conform to 29.97fps. I believe this added a bit of delay which I had to compensate (195ms) with an audio processor to retain lip sync. I'm looking at adding a third camera. I'm not overly happy with the overall quality of the current camera. I can't afford to update them right now. I have a tracking camera, and a rear PTZ. I'm looking at adding an audience camera facing out from the front of the room. While looking for cameras that can to 29.97fps I found this AIDA PTZ. I'm not familiar with the brand. I am doing some research. The lone review on B&H mentions having problems getting the SDI to work with an ATEM TVS HD. Solved by using HDMI to SDI Mini Converter. Which is less than ideal. I don't prefer to buy another 60/30fps and a decimator. Though now I'm also worried that a different make of camera and no decimator will break my sync on that camera. So I guess I'm asking two questions. Does anyone have insight or thoughts on either?

This points to the fact that these Chinese knockoff cameras use SDI serializers that are designed for Security cameras not broadcast equipment!!
They do not follow the SMPTE broadcast requirements and will not work with atems and or a lot of other SDI hardware. ( Decimators do work with security SDI signals as proven in the past.)

So my advice is, buy something that is really broadcast, Lumens PTZ are a good example of this. They are good and still reasonable priced.
PTZ Optics have the same issues as described above. Lot of users fall into this pit.. ;)

That's certainly something to be aware of. Thanks a lot for that tip! As always.

Any experience with the Lumens VC-A51 by chance?

I feel like I need to use another decimator and 30/60fps camera to avoid having a different latency on my third camera. This camera has 20x optical which I also need. Seems like a decent option. I just hope the image quality is better than other lower cost PTZ cameras.

Lumens uses the Right chips. I have 3x the Lumens VC-G50 And the SDI output delivers proper SMPTE SDI signals that the Atem understands. ;)
