ATEM mini (Shipping)

When are you hoping to start shipping the ATEM mini ?

The press release announcing the ATEM Mini indicated that it would start shipping in November 2019:

Usually these dates indicate the time that Blackmagic intends to start shipping the products to retailers, so it's often a week or two after this that the products end up in the hands of actual end users. So even if they hit their target and start shipping to vendors by the end of the month it would likely be early December before users receive them.

There were 3 products announced at IBC in September, the ATEM Mini, Video Assist 12G HDR, and new Videohub Control Panels. As far as I know, none of these products has started shipping yet, so it's possible the ATEM Mini could be delayed as well.

A few of the smaller retailers have November 4th/5th listed as the release date so... maybe we'll see tomorrow! I've been watching my credit card to see when B&H or Adorama charge it because that usually shows up even before they send out the shipping email. I was really hoping it would arrive by the 5th (Tuesday) before our next live stream but looks like I'll be without the Mini for at least another stream or two.

You think they would have enough time to have them ready

If it was announced in September they would have it all ready to go to the stores ASAP

I got a Productions coming up that I said I would have one in place for the live streaming

Still no word on when it will be shipped
I just asked tech support and they don’t know.
Why announce a new product if you can’t get your hands on one

A few people on YouTube have gotten their mini already.

The people who have them on YouTube did not order them. They were sent pre-production units to "Evaluate".
