Hi guys!

What PTZ-Camera do you suggest for use in an Ursa Broadcast environment regarding color matching?

Well i have used Lumens VG50 and Panasonic UE-150 (4K ptz)..

And none of them were really perfect match.

The Pana is realy blue-ish. Hard to match had to take a lot of blue out.. But then flesh tones going orange..

Lumens VG50 is HD and sensor does not match the performance of the Ursa Broadcast.

Keep in mind that the Micro studio needs a LOT more light then the ursa broadcast. Also your lens choice is very limited if you want focus and zoom on the lens. The suggested lenses that have Zoom support are not really light sensitive..

Still waiting for BMD to come out with a 12G PTZ camera. :D

We sometimes use an Ursa on a Big head to solve the issue. Heads like those from Egripment. But yes that is a VERY expensive methode..

The Panasonics have a variable matrix and 16 point color corrector. It’s not difficult to match them but you’re going to need a minute in a controlled environment.

Aren’t the Micro an UB both “native” ISO 400?

What about something like the Rushworks PTX Model 2 as PTZ cradle for the URSA Broadcast? https://www.rushworks.tv/ptx.htm

They say it works with the URSA Mini and have a pic to demonstrate. Also works with ATEM software apparently. Price seems reasonable. Never used one, just an idea.

Here is one I use. Picked up the Eagle PTZ real cheap off eBay. Had to write my own control software using the Stream Deck. I find it much better to have buttons to innitiate slow pan/tilt for live shot that trying to hold joystick in one palce while also directing.

I have had a B4 lens on the front of this but my Arduino to B4 interface code for iris control of the B4 lens isn't reliable enough, keeps failing to pass through camera color commnads after a while. Bound to be some buffer overflow in my code.

My favourite would be the panasonic 4K, as the image really looks nice. My only concern is color-matching. But I think I will give them a try!
Also thought about the rushworks PTx2 head. But, with the panasonic I would have a proper system.
