I have a question about a Decklink Quad that I recently purchased. I've been doing a lot of research that says I need to match the frame rate and resolution from the camera into Media Express which I think I have done. My problem is that the highest resolution I can get from my Canon XA30 is 720p. I KNOW it is capable of outputting 1080p and I've messed around with different frame rates to no avail.

Can anyone please advise me if there is something I'm missing? This is this original Decklink Quad, not the 2 and I'm pulling my hair out.

You will need to match a format that the device supports in order for video to be seen in either Media Express or a third party application. Here is the breakdown of the various formats this card supports so you can use this as reference for the source(s) you plan to use. Also be aware that the first mini-din connection is for reference (the one closest to where the PCIe board connects to the motherboard). The connection next to that would be for ingest then output and so on.

Hello Travis. Just a brief look at the camera manual. The SDI output is capable of 720p and 1080i. Worth checking that the settings on the Decklink card are set to match.

So just to be clear I have to change those settings through Media Express? Or through Desktop Video Setup? I noticed on DVS the only two options for Input are "captured as 1080p progressive video" and "captured as 1080psf segmented video." Which one of those would be the correct setting for 1080i?
