Is there a way I can make UltraStudio 4k mini to work with my Macbook Pro 2013? Is it compatible with the Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter? Thanks I appreciate your help.

The device is intended to work with Thunderbolt 3 connections for capture and playback and will not work with older Thunderbolt connections.

what would work for thunderbolt 2 (or with thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter) which is similar to this product? Thanks I appreciate it.

USB-C uses a different protocol than Thunderbolt 3 even though both have the same type of connector. Most Thunderbolt 3 ports are compatible with USB-C devices, but the reverse is not true.

Thunderbolt 3 devices cannot be used with regular USB-C ports. Which means that since the UltraStudio HD Mini and UltraStudio 4K Mini are both Thunderbolt 3 devices, they need an actual Thunderbolt 3 port and won't work with an ordinary USB-C port.

So Daniel, the UltraStudio Mini will work with Thunderbolt 2 connection on a IMac?
