Using Macros to Auto Switch at Intervals?

With 2 cameras and no one to assist, I would like to be able to program it to switch during performance.

For example, every 30 sec switch from main cam to side vide or whatever for 5 seconds then back.

Is this doable?

Yes you can create time delay in your macro. So switch, Delay X, Switch, Delay X end Macro. Play macro, Loop infinity on.
