No recognition of Switch from Ultrastudio Mini Recorder

I'd love some collective help troubleshooting.

- My goal is to livestream Nintendo Switch via OBS on mac OS Catalina (10.15).

- Here's what is not being recognized:
Nintendo Switch > Switch Dock > HDMI > Ultrastudio Mini Recorder > Thunderbolt > iMac.

- I've also tried an intermediary monitor with an HDMI splitter to no avail.

- This setup DOES work with:
PC gaming laptop > HDMI > Ultrastudio Mini Recorder > Thunderbolt > iMac.

Any suggestions?

Are you getting any output at all over HDMI, or is it just the Ultrastudio that's not picking it up?

Have you tried shutting down the Switch entirely, then putting it in the dock, then booting it up again with all the cables already connected while it's in the dock?

You will need to manually set the output resolution on the switch to 720p for the ultrastudio mini recorder to see it as I belive the 1080p output will be 1080p50/60 which is not supported by the ultrastudio mini recorder

Thank you! It was the output resolution under "TV Settings."

I thought I had switched this, but I must have just toggled it and not left it at the lower resolution.
