ATEM mini HDMI channel ONE problem (still not fixed!)

PostSun Apr 05, 2020 5:46 pm

Dear Blackmagic Design!
Thank you for the latest 8.2 update, that adds a great Studio mode to the bmpcc4k!

Unfortunately, the issue with the HDMI channel ONE remains unfixed. The issue is that some "third party hdmi devices misbehave" (a quote from the conversation with the Blackmagic Design support).

In my case it is the Hollyland 400, connected to HDMI channel ONE, that I am having a problem with. Hollyland 300 and Hollyland 400s are working fine on HDMI channel ONE.

Yes, Hollyland 400 is working properly on HDMI channels TWO, THREE and FOUR. The problem is only on channel ONE.

No, it's not the cable.

Yes, channel ONE is working perfectly fine when connected via HDMI cable.

When will you fix it? ImageImage

UPD...

Neither Hollyland 400, nor Hollyland 300 work on channel one with the firmware 8.2!

But with firmware 8.1.2 the Hollyland 300 worked on channel ONE

Check out my video about the problem

Hi Guys,
I also have a problem with channel one;
I have tvi cameras converted to hdmi working on channels 2,3,4 but not 1.
I am told it might not support the input, but can't work out why!!
Might you have a solution?? This is a brand new ATEM mini pro....so expecting latest software
Thanks

Hi!
Guys in the Facebook group say that the cause of this problem is that input 1 supports only YUV whereas inputs 2-4 support YUV/RGB. Apparently, it can not be fixed by the firmware

An RGB camera would be the exception to the rule. Virtually all cameras are going to output component YCbCr.

The Hollyland fails as a matter of compatibility not color space.

Good Luck

I think it is not YUV /RGB issue.
I use mutlitmedia player to select YUV/ RGB hdmi output.
atem mini can get well .

So far, I do not know why channel 1 will happen this problem.

atem mini pro hdmi input / output have compatible issue

trobuleshooting for as below
1.hdmi input (channel 1) error color :
2. atem mini pro can not connect to samsung tv .
3. atem mini pro can not connect to Cheap China hdmi capture card

you just add a hdmi splitter that is NOT macrosilicon IC MS399X inside.
i think the hdmi input / output error will be troubleshooting.

This is a solution I always do. I have some monitors and splitters which won’t work with a mini. When I put a cheap splitter between the signal it always works.
