If type-C to HDMI output is supported, which solves the output problem of PGM HDMI!

Throw in a cheap win-10 laptop, open the camera function, switch to full screen, use the hdmi out from the laptop.

Just remember: The usb-c out can either be a web-cam or drive some storage devices. It can NOT do both.

I sometimes wonder what the people at BMD are thinking. "We gave them something inexpensive for producing web content, now they want the full functions of our professional boxes in that inexpensive box. They will never be satisfied. Maybe we should re-think offering less expensive products."

Yes, a few frames. Probably not any worse than a type-C to HDMI converter.
But, get back to the point of this new box. If you need more than it offers, then move up the line to a box that does what you need.

I think some delay is acceptable, and it doesn't need perfect high bit image quality, as long as it doesn't exceed 0.5-1 second, it's not a broadcast level device after all.

The second solution is to connect the computer as a camera and then full screen, which is not the best solution

At the time of putting forward the hope of mulitview, BMD has already started to do it, added some functions, and left some regrets. I don't know whether there will be Mini Pro Plus or Mini Pro Mark2. At the beginning, as long as an HDMI output is added, all problems are solved, and it will be a perfect product. In fact, mini will not impact other products, but can compete with Roland v1-hd v1-sdi v01hd

I don't think this is really possible without using a computer. The issue is that the USB Video Class (UVC) specification (which is what the ATEM Mini and other webcams use) actually has a lot of flexibility in terms of the video format used.

For example, USB Video Class (UVC) devices are allowed to have a wide range of video resolutions and aspect ratios, they are not constrained to broadcast standards that are common for HDMI outputs. Similarly UVC devices are allowed to have frame rates (like 15fps) that are different from what you would expect from an HDMI output. So to handle these cases properly would probably require some video standards conversion.

But the bigger issue is that the USB Video Class specifications support several different compression options, including MJPEG, H.264, MPEG2 Transport Stream, and VP8 (in addition to uncompressed video). So a general purpose USB webcam to HDMI converter would need to be capable of decompressing all of these formats and converting them to an uncompressed HDMI output.

I suppose it would theoretically be possible to build such a special purpose UVC to HDMI converter, but it's probably much easier just to use a computer to do this, since all major operating systems already have built-in UVC video drivers and support for decompressing a wide set of video codecs.

You might even be able to use something like a Raspberry Pi for this, as it includes UVC (webcam) drivers and you could use something like mjpg-streamer with a web browser or guvcview to output this incoming video as full screen to the HDMI port. I'm not sure whether the Raspberry Pi is powerful enough to decode an MJPEG stream at full resolution and frame rate though. There are other small form factor computers like the Intel Compute Stick that are quite a bit more powerful and might fare better (although they are also more expensive)

For me it is enough to have ability to send into USB feed something different from program .. For example PREVIEW bus , or Multiviewer on AMP .. After that HDMI out is free for use ..

I don't know if the hardware structure of atem mini can be realized directly by ordinary type-c to hdmi like many android or laptop. Still need to change the mini pro hardware again, or can it be achieved through the mini pro software?
