ATEM Mini Pro does not connect via ethernet

I am having this weird problem with my ATEM Mini Pro:

The device shows up in ATEM Connection. However, when I click on "Connect", nothing happens and ATEM Software Control shows "No Switcher Connected".



I have a Mac and a PC. Both can see ATEM Mini in ATEM Connection, but neither can connect to ATEM Mini over ethernet. Both computers are running ATEM Software Control 8.2.2. Anyone else is experiencing this issue?

I was able to control ATEM Mini Pro over ethernet before.
I can still use ATEM Software Control over usb.

I have the same problem and can't connect the ATEM controller via the ethernet port to my MacBook Pro ethernet port. I need the USB C port on the ATEM Mini Pro to record my video and use the ethernet connection between the MacBook Pro and the ATEM Mini Pro to use ATEM Software Control on my computer.

I have downloaded and installed the Software Update of - 10 Jun 2020 - ATEM Switchers 8.2.3 Update to my ATEM Mini Pro. My Mac OS is Catalina 10.15.5 on the MacBook Pro.

Same here, it was working before today, I recorded a video on Monday. What's changed?

So I got it to work, although it's weird why it did work. I turned everything off, then I turned the ATEM on first, not computer, then after a few seconds I turned on the computer and vola it was connecting and working as normal. The other way round it doesn't work. Don't ask me why.

Same problem here with a Windows 10 PC. It won't connect via ethernet.

It's been posted previously, that the network connection on the Mini-Pro takes a while to connect to the network switch/router.

When connecting to the network router, you have to wait a minute or so before you try to access it from the PC. The time is less if you hard-code it's IP address instead of letting DHCP assign an address. I will go back and look at some posts, but Also, make sure you are on a gig-port on a gig-router. I had an issue with my Mini-Pro on a non-gig router.

Don't even think about using the "shared Ethernet" suggested by support and the introduction video.

Another issue I hit was when assigning a network address on the Pro, there are fields and a "SAVE" button that is only shown if you scroll down. It took a while before I noticed the scroll bar.

I usually have same issue when start the atem software control, with DHCP configuration.
The resolution is ... while "Not Switcher Connected" displayed on software controll apps, take-out the Atem Mini RJ-45 connector (UTP ether connector) for 3 seconds and then put it back ... automatically atem software control will connect to the switcher.

Thanks @Andres - do you think it's DHCP related? I ask because I moved my gear to a new location at the weekend where I had to switch back to DHCP to get an IP adress, and the problem came back (didn't have time to fix it before I had to start streaming to YouTube so I stuck with the USB connection for ATEM Software Control and couldn't use the port to record). I'll try going back to static IP if that would fix it reliably.

Okay I was having problems connecting with my ethernet cable. As long as I had the usb-c cable connected it would work and I would not see the symbol for network until... I opened the document to open manually. I had been trying the ip address and didn't work. Then I switched to dns setting and hit refresh and my network symbol appeared. Alright. So then I can disconnect the usb-c cord and use that to hook up my hard drive.

I was having the same problem. After reading all of this I eventually unplugged the USB-C and rebooted my Mac. Without plugging in the USB-C in again, it worked after the reboot.

Set your network switch port to 100MBps full duplex - it doesnt seem to auto-negotiate nicely with other devices. No thanks to BM support as they said it was broken.

HERES THE FIX

Change your PC's Ethernet Adapter to 100MB Full Duplex:
Open the Device Manager from the “Run” dialog box by running the devmgmt.msc.
Double-click on Network adapters and double-click on the correct adapter.
Click the Advanced tab.
In the Property list, click Speed & Duplex.
In the Value list, click 100 Mbps Full Duplex.
Click OK.
Reboot your PC.

Lastly Make sure that your pc automatically sets the IP Address.

You should be able to see your ATEM Mini Pro ISO
