Need Info on Hyperdeck Shuttle and TVS

OK...we are looking at upgrading our video production capabilities for our church. The question I have is regarding the TVS and the output.

We want to output the final product live to the hyperdeck shuttle. No problem so far....but is there a way to simultaneously output it to a DVD recorder through an SD downconverter? Or can I run an HDMI cable from the HDS through a downconverter to the DVD recorder?

The reason is we want the High Def finished product, but we also want to be able to deliver the product on DVD right away.

Does this make any sense at all?

That's very possible to do.

The Hyperdeck has pass-thru of the input signal - so just choose a DVD recorder that can handle whatever you can give it. The SDI to Analog converter from Blackmagic will work.

You might also be better to purchase an ATEM 1/ME instead of the TVS as that has built-in down-conversion.
