Just create the scoreboard in something like Photoshop, and update the score via Photoshop also.

This may be ok for sports with less changes of the score like soccer, but when a scoreboard for basketball is needed, it will not works proper.

I am also looking for such a scoreboard. Perhaps CasparCG can be used.

I have done a scoreboard using Excel (and VBA), a small video-analog-mixer for masking the area with the result/score and used main-mixers lumakey for inserting.

I think I've got a good solution for you -- we use it for our own broadcasts.

Your only way to accomplish this within the ATEM is to use the Photoshop plugin, but I agree that for fast-paced sports, that isn't an ideal option when you're constantly changing the scores and other text on the graphics.

We use two products called ScoreOCR and ScoreHD with our ATEM switcher to provide live score "bug" graphics. It's a separate hardware/software combo that outputs live graphics to the ATEM that include a live game clock as well as scores and other stats.

Check out a video from one of our productions at
and notice the clock and scores updating.

All of this is done without human interaction. ScoreOCR is taking our "clock camera" that is framed up on the scoreboard. It is converting the clock camera to a data feed. That data feed goes into ScoreHD to create the graphics, which is sent to the ATEM switcher via SDI. All of this is done with very little latency in the whole chain. It results in very professional graphics with a live-updating score bug.

Please let me know if you have any questions about it. I'd be happy to explain. We're an Authorized Dealer for Blackmagic Design as well as ScoreOCR and ScoreHD.

Hi,

Have a look at ScoreKeepr (yes, this is how it is spelt). I looked at this but as I am in Australia it does not suit our football codes.

Thanks,

Sorry for the double post!

Also look at going for the ATEM 1ME, it is way more versatile. For what you want to do it is better, the auxiliaries alone make it a no brainer for your use.

Hi Guys,

Tony- you're absolutely right- ScoreKeepr is fantastic! We just did 7 live 'Shinty' matches over here in Scotland for BBC- we used ScoreKeepr for our clock and scores as it was a great price and just worked!

We contacted them directly and the guy Jason re-designed the existing soccer template for us to use- he just made me a one-off version, posted me the link and I downloaded it. works great! If you need something specific, drop him a line and he'll probably be able to help you out.

Cheers, Dave ;)

Hi

i've recently launched a new live score software for streaming, websites / web widgets, and other platforms.
it uses mobile apps as remote controls and can be used simultaneously on multiple devices, so you can score your game as a team.

the standard edition is pretty affordable,...it's actually just an in-app purchase for the remote control, the rest is free.

i hope you guys like it :)
the website is live-score-app.com

cheers

Those wipes with the logo in and out of the reply is done with the ATEM right? Is it the wipe and tie function in the control panel? Thinking about doing this for replays for a different event I have coming up. Need to find a suitable graphic though.
