Hyperdeck Studio Mini | Lower Thirds

PostWed Jun 03, 2020 3:52 pm

Hello,
I want to use the Hyperdeck Studio Mini to include Lower thirds in my video. Unfortunately the Windows Control App does not show the files on the SD card.

I tried to use Quick time / ProRess 4444 with Alpha but unfortunately no files are displayed. Only mp4 files are displayed.

How do I export them?

Thank you

The HD Mini has a NASTY habit of only showing the files on the card that match the format it is set to record in. Set the record codec to ProRes4444 and see if they show up.

YO BMD!! you could really do better in this department. We should be able to see all files that are playable regardless of the format they were recorded in. This is REALLY frustrating when I'm going thru cards looking for something...

Yes, this is a problem I've observed as well. We recently switched from AJA KiPro Rack units, which have this exact same problem, to Hyperdeck Studio Minis. It would be nice to be able to use a mix of ProRes and H.264 files (for us, we have a lot of ProRes files, but due to switching to Resolve on Windows, we can't create ProRes media easily).
Windows 11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB RAM, NVidia RTX 2070 8GB.

Thanks for the answers, I'll test it.
But does this mean that I cannot mix mp4 files and ProRes files in one live broadcast? That's pretty bad, since we definitely need ProRess for lower thirds, but for longer videos the amount of data would be much too large.
