HDMI input 1 not working

I am a new user.I am running three Sony EVI H100S ptz cameras set at 1920x1080P 29.97 My HDMI input 1 is not working at all. I tried the cable and camera I had on that channel on HDMI input 2 and it works fine. I tried the other two camera feeds on number 1 and none worked at all. All three feeds work on inputs 2, 3 and 4

I have installed the software and drivers on my computer, an asus gl553vd gaming laptop I-7-7700hq with 32gb ram, but have not used the software to run the camera yet. I didn't think it should make a difference.

Am I missing something, or did I just get a defective board?

What device are you talking about? There are lots of BM devices with HDMI that you could be trying to troubleshoot.

When I search for that model of camera on Sony's site it is showing it with an HD-SDI output and not an HDMI output.

Are you sure you have the model number correct for the camera?

If the camera has HD-SDI how are you adapting it to plug it into the HDMI inputs on whatever BMD product you are using?

I didn't have problems with input 1 so far.

This is an old 'problem' or 'feature' of HDMI port 1.
I understand it was designed as a low latency port for gaming and uses YUV HDMI signals.
Videoconference cameras mostly send RGB HDMI video signal, so work well on ports 2-4, but not number 1.
