ATEM mini pro: Stream and Record simultaneously

Greetings from a Windows 10 Atem Mini Pro User...
I am trying to stream live music and record to USB flash drive at the same time. I tried to have the ATEM Mini ethernet go to the same router as the computer, like I read here in the forum, but alas... no luck.

I talked to tech support. They sent me instructions on how to use the ethernet cable for the ATEM software, and have the Wifi allow the ethernet port to access the internet.
This seemed to work, but the Wifi connection seemed to weak to handle the upload.

SO, I installed another ethernet network card. I have the USB to a flash drive and the ethernet cable to the new network card. Set the sharing of the internet connected ethernet to allow the new ethernet card to access the internet, just like tech support advised with the WiFi.

It seemed to work right away, but now, it disconnects intermittently and the software can't find the ATEM Mini.

Are there network settings for Windows 10 to make this work consistently?

I would suggest avoiding using the network connection sharing features in Windows and just have both the ATEM and computer connected directly to your router. As long as both devices are on the same local network and are configured with suitable IP addresses on the same subnet, they should be able to talk to each other and out to the internet (through the router).

That does not work? Nothing seems to work. I've tried multiple things with tech support. They have resorted to telling me to buy a Mac.

I can see the ATEM Mini Pro in the setup, but it will not connect to it.

The error says "please make sure your network settings are correct, and your switcher is properly connected to the network"

Unfortunately support are preferring to tell users to share the pc's net connection with the atem as a tethered device, which any network adminstrator will tell you is a horrible idea.

Set up the atem and the pc(s) with seperate rj45 cables into a local switch which you can then connect into your modem.
Or if you have a modem router setup
plug both devices again with their own seperate cables into that modem router.

Its then basic networking by assigning each device its own ip address or let the router allocate its own addresses using DHCP. But youll then need to login to the router to search connected devices to find the address its allocated the mini, or run a network scanning program to report the connected devices.

When connecting to the network router, you have to wait a minute or so before you try to access it from the PC. The time is less if you hard-code it's IP address instead of letting DHCP assign an address. I will go back and look at some posts, but Also, make sure you are on a gig-port on a gig-router. I had an issue with my Mini-Pro on a non-gig router.

Another issue I hit was when assigning a network address on the Pro, there are fields and a "SAVE" button that is only shown if you scroll down. It took a while before I noticed the scroll bar.

I was using our ATT Fiber Router, it had all types of firewalls and conflicting things going on. I ran it all though a new router, and Hallelujah it's all working perfectly.

I have 2 ATEM Pros, our SQ6 soundboard, and our PC all communicating happily.

I am having similar issues but a different problem I think.. I currently stream to youtube for live events and would like to record the video program feed as its mixed live.. I have an ATEM mini pro that only has the single usb-C port but I am using that for my local macbook connection. I have the encoder plugged into a hardline (ethernet) and the macbook that's hosting the youtube stream is over wifi.. I have no issues streaming live to youtube but when I try to add a hub to my mini pro so that I can add a Samsung T7 for recording but this is not working.. when i add the hub to the mini pro output and then connect hub to macbook it does not see the mini pro. When i Have the hub into the macbook and the T7 and mini pro on the same hub I can connect to the mini pro but only the laptop can see the T7..

Any thoughts?

From your description, I'm not exactly sure how you have things set up, however, ATEM USB should go to your recording hard drive (not via a hub) and streaming should go via your ethernet connection.
