Hi,

does anyone have the pinout of the XLR5 socket on the frontpanel of the Constellation for intercom headsets?
I didn't find anything in the manual so far.

Thanks and cheers

Robert

Hi Tom - nice to see you still around :-)

Just to confirm Tom's connections I use the Shure BRH440M for the Constellation and here are the pin connections and colours for it.

Fantastic!!!

Thanks so much!

Good to see that there are still some other than ATEM mini users around.

Cheers

Do you know if I can just use pins 4 and 5 to get a stereo listen headset connected? I really just want to use the talkback jack on the Constellation front to be able to monitor audio with a normal set of headphones. Thanks!

Just in case anyone else is curious...the answer is yes. You can use pin 3 for ground, pin 4 for Left and pin 5 for Right. I wired it up to a standard 3.5mm stereo female headphone jack. Works great as a way to monitor audio directly on the Constellation.

Does the wiring 3-GND, 4-left and 5-right work for the Television Studio HD8?
I tried it with DT 770 Pro (80 Ohm) but I had no signal.

Using a headset (Superlux HMD685a, 400 Ohm / 100 mW input power), I got very low audio signal when all levels are set to max.

It seems the impedance doesn't match? Is there a workaround or more info Blackmagic which specs are supported?
