Integrating Atem TV Studio HD with Atem Mini Pro

PostTue Sep 15, 2020 8:10 pm

Has anyone figured how to integrate Atem TV Studio HD with Atem Mini Pro so that they both use one control panel? That would be an incredibly nice feature to have - picture the ability to control all 8+4 camera inputs from one software control panel!

BM tech team, any plans for this? Most of us are transitioning away from unstable or expensive streaming solutions to Atem Mini Pro but then we have two switchers to deal with which is a bit cumbersome in terms of the workflow.

cheers

Roman is correct about using streamdecks with companion. It's a cost effective solution. I would doubt BM will have anything for this as their control panels tend to be pricey. In theory you'd only have 11 inputs because you'd have to feed from the TVS to the AMP for the signal to be encoded and streamed out. I'm curious as to what kind of production you're working on that needs 12 inputs. That's more than a lot of sporting events.

Best,

David

Thanks much. I’ll consider Stream Deck.

Dave, the fun is not so much about having 11 inputs. I already have 7 feeds into Atem TVS HD and looking into hooking up Atem Mini mainly for streaming. Now, with this setup, which box is going to be switched? Obviously the TVS but that also means I’ll be utilizing just a fraction of the Mini’s capability. I like it’s additional features such as video format flexibility and souped up multiview.
