H.264 Pro Recoder

HI, we just recently had an H.264 Pro Recorder given to us by a vendor. This was to be used with a windows 10 PC and wirecast. We have a BMD Television Studio HD and need to get the program output into wirecast. Wirecast is not seeing the device at all. Any ideas?

The H.264 Pro Recorder is a hardware H.264 encoder, it is not a traditional video capture device that sends an uncompressed video stream into the computer. As a result Wirecast (and most streaming software for that matter) do not directly support using the H.264 Pro Recorder as a video input.

You'll probably need something like a DeckLink or UltraStudio device to input a video signal that Wirecast can use. Wirecast has a list of compatible capture devices on their website:
