How to connect "ATEM Mini" and "Logitech C922" webcam

PostFri Jan 08, 2021 3:09 am

Hi

Wonder if you can help me. I am using "Logitech C922" webcam (USB).

If I want to connect this webcam to one of the four "ATEM Mini" HDMI port, what particular type of cable I need to buy?

What is the name of that type of cable?

cheers

This isn’t possible. The webcam needs to use USB to power it.

Webcam usually not produce a digital video signal to be insert directly to hdmi but is a digital signal that is converted to video from computer driver e/o digital elaboration. I don’t know if that webcam is different, but I think not.
I think you must send to a computer and between obs or similar tool go out to hdmi out from computer hdmi in atem. But I think is a bit convoluted. Why you need to do it?

Such a device does exist. This is the only one I know of at present, but it's more expensive than the camera.

As Carlo says, this is an unusual connection, but has also been suggested as a means of achieving a second HDMI output from the ATEM Mini.

Total waste of time, money and effort. The Febon adapter costs more than a budget camcorder. It doesn't sustain a decent frame rate either.

The Logitech 920/922 are a decent webcam (as far as webcams go) but not a patch on any main brand budget camcorder.

The Mini Pro replaces your web cam, Di. They don't work together.

You need cameras with HDMI (or SDI) output here.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
