Why all the outputs of the ATEM constellation 8k are REC.2020
I connect ATEM's output to video assist 12g HDR and automatically go to REC2020, and the colors are very different and vibrant. (bad for me)
and then I connect video assist 3g and the image and colors are as supposed to be. What is happening?
What can I do to change that? or is it something that I don't know?

4k and above are specified at REC2020...

All the outputs are HD, ULTRA HD and 8K... so why you say that is 4K?? When i use the console at Full HD format why the output is REC2020?

I have a huge problem with the outputs of the constellation. All the outputs give me REC2020 on the Blackmagic video assist 12G monitor and the problem with that is that I can't see the colors as they supposed to be because I use the monitor as a recorder instead of a hyperdeck. I don't understand why i can't choose the color space of the outputs OR the problem is that I can't choose the color space of the video assist input ???

That is a big issue for the Web Presenter HD, which adds a lot of saturation to REC2020 signals. So at this stage you can't use it with the ATEM Constellation 8K because of these REC2020 signals.

Did you run the update from last week on your Webpresenter HD??? This update will fix the REC2020 issues on the webpresenter HD.

I did, on two units. Fixes the green washed out look. But I still don't have the exact input colors on the output stream, there is a big saturation boost in the stream. You can see it right from the status page or even the small LCD screen.

If you run a livestream with the ATEM Mini Pro, take a screenshot and then go on air to the same RTMP with the Web Presenter, take another screenshot, you will see the difference in saturation, it's quite important.

This doesn't seem to be fixed. Outrageous that you can't use a $15k (CDN) switcher with this "professional" encoder and that 2.1 didn't fix the issue. Does anyone know if there is a way to edit the configuration XML file on the Web Presenter HD?

Still waiting for the fix from BM , the suggestion they have at the moment is to switch the Constellation into level A for 3G signals , and this appears to fix the issue with the Constellation/ Web Presenter HD.
( Although for me it's a pain as I have some other BM equipment that doesn't support Level A)

Yes but you can't do that with 25p, 24p and 30p signals unfortunately, which are quite common.

Is there a fix or workaround for the Constellation and the Video Assist 12G yet?

Constellation is set to 1080p29.97, VA12G is connected to an aux for shading cameras remotely and as a backup recorder.
Like others said, everything has a reddish tint, so the only thing I can use it for is focus peaking.

I hadn't seen the update until you said. I see no mention of a fix , I'll probably try the update this week.

Just updated , and it has the same problem.

Found an interim hack that fixes this issue. You'll need a bi-directional SDI/HDMI micro converter. Just loop the signal through SDI/IN->HDMI/OUT->HDMI/IN->SDI/OUT to the Web Presenter and it seems to strip the gamma flag.

I checked out the Video Assist firmware 3.5, which enables you to set the VA12G to REC709

Good news, hope that means a similar update for the Constellation is on the way
