Youtube Audio Issue

PostTue Jan 19, 2021 2:03 am

Hi there,
We are using the Atem Mini Pro for our church livestream production, uploading directly to Youtube. The audio is mixed specifically for the livestream from our sounddesk and sent to the Atem. On most laptops, TVs and iPhones, the sound is good. Though on some iPhones below generation 6 and sometimes 7, the sound is impossible to hear, it is garbled and buzzy. These phones are able to play other youtube livestreams fine so the problem must be on our end. Any tips on how to fix this? Please help!

Perhaps try a -15dB attenuator to take the signal down from the pro desk to the commercial style input on the ATEM?

Hello Katie. This can happen when the unbalanced audio input to the ATEM Mini is incorrectly wired from a balanced output of an audio mixer. This will cause out of phase mixing of left and right to a mono only listener. This can be fixed with a proper balanced to unbalanced adapter or isolation device. I'm only guessing this is the issue, however this has come up before. Hope this helps.
