Change auxiliary output labels

PostThu Feb 11, 2021 3:34 pm

On the software control panel I have 3 auxiliary's, each of them has a number of outputs able to select to be send out by the ATEM Constellation. Such as Camera 1 or PRV or PGM. But now I want to change those names, I think they are inbedded in the software. But no luck finding it so far.

Where can I change the names for the auxiliary outputs?

Would be a great help and saves a lot of confusion!

Hi.

Click the gear icon in the left corner.
Select Labels.
Select outputs and then below the fields click the right arrow.
There you can change the names of the outputs.
The outputs, in Constellations there are 24, are number 31 to 54.

Thank you so much! Didn't think it was that easy but searched all over the place. Did not search well apparently.

Quick follow-up: I have noticed that the labels do not save when I back up the constellation. Any idea how to hard wire them into the xml file or fix this glitch? I lose these output labels when I restart the ATEM. Thanks in advance.

It might be useful to understand what is saved and how it works in the ATEM. Settings in the Gear or "Settings" menus are generally always saved with the hardware automatically and should not require any manual selection to do so. The non volatile memory is not instant or fast, however, so once a change is made it is a good idea to wait 20-30 seconds before power cycling the hardware. All other ATEM states like crosspoints and pallets may be saved for power up using the File Menu -> Save The Startup State. This process also needs the 20-30 seconds in order to fully write to the non volatile memory. The camera controls are not saved in any non volatile memory. They may, however be saved and recalled to a disk file using the File Menu -> Save As feature. Some ATEMs have the hardware to save media which is also automatic once loaded. Generally that doesn't require any extra time because once you see the image in the media pool, it is available to the switcher. I hope this helps.

I also lost all of the output labels of the Constellation after a firmware update. I thought they were included in a complete save file, but it seems they are not. :|
