Atem to Atem to Projector - not working

I'm having an issue where a video projector just shows "no signal" when connected to the output of an Atem Mini.

This is our setup - the parts in ROOM A have been in place for many months and work perfectly.
We are trying to add the parts in ROOM B.



The projector will not show any output from the Atem Mini.
If I connect the projector to the HDMI Output of the "SDI to HDMI 3G" in that room (marked with a green 1 in the picuture) then the projector is happy and shows a prefect image.

But when I put the ATEM Mini in - so we can chose between the output of ROOM A or a local PC, it will not show an image at all.

Things I have tried:
* Updated the Atem Mini to latest f/w.
* Set the video standard of the Atem Mini (using the control software) to every possible setting one by one. (no difference).
* Sending "bars" to the output of the Atem Mini using the control software.
* Swapped to a different projector.
* Swapped the Atem Minis around - no difference. Room A still works, Room B 'no signal'

In all cases where the projector is connected to the Atem Mini it just says "no signal"
Any ideas?

I figured this out - the projector in Room B does not resize 1080. Turns out it is a WXGA projector and can't do 1080 at any frequency.

Further, the Atem Mini only outputs at 1080 at various frequencies.

Same issue I'm having now. Blackmagic couldn't give me an answer on why it wasn't displaying through and told me something was wrong with my projector. The issue is I've been using it without the ATEM just fine. Added the ATEM Mini Pro to be able to add live camera in sanctuary and it doesn't display on projector.

Did you find a way to convert to format projector would accept or what was your solution?

Do you see the contradiction in the problem and solution posted above?

A projector that doesn’t accept 1080? It’s probably an HDMI issue.

What type/signal/length HDMI are you using now?

What was the prior setup that worked?

Unless you're obliged to use existing SDI infrastructure, your system paths would be simplified by not converting your HDMI feeds to SDI, given both ATEMS and projectors are all HDMI. With a 1 in 4 out HDMI distro box connected to the Room A ATEM you can keep everything in the HDMI domain by using HDMI fibre cables for your longer runs.

10 metre to 150 metre HDMI fibre cables on Amazon are cost comparative to good quality SDI and it's not ideal to run SDI in excess of 50 metres anyway. Plus, your 4th HDMI port can be used to view Program Out on the Room A ATEM.

I got many times problem , that projector do not accept HDMI from BMD micro SDI to HDMI converter .. Swap for Decimator Design MD-HX ALLWAYS solve this problem .. ALLWAYS ..

If your projector does not accept a 1080 signal, then you need to scale the output of the ATEM Mini to a resolution your projector does accept.

This is frequently done with a decimator md-hx, a dak70, or a blackmagic updowncross.
