URSA Kit for Live Services - Low Light?

PostThu Apr 01, 2021 12:43 am

B&H has this kit: Blackmagic Design URSA with ENG Telephoto Lens and Rear Zoom/Focus Control Kit ($10k US)

20x Fuji lens. We're 60' from the podium. How do I know how close I can get with this lens? Is there a formula?

I want to shade with the ATEM matching to Sony PMW cameras (1080i). Will I have a problem with grain?

Is there a better camera/lens option?

Well it’s 8.5-170mm focal length and it’s a 2/3” lens so there will be calculating tables on the internet, like this one: https://www.pointsinfocus.com/tools/depth-of-field-and-equivalent-lens-calculator/
So a quick look tells me you can film the upper body with that lens. Keep in mind the B4 mount has glass in it which reduces the results by 1.1.
