Streaming Bridge With VPN question

PostMon Apr 12, 2021 3:03 am

Does the Streaming Bridge work with VPN services? I have internet that does not allow port forwarding due to carrier grade NAT. So I can’t port forward 1935. So if I get a VPN service. Will the Streaking bridge work through a VPN service? I am trying to connect another ATEM mini pro via the internet to my Atem mini pro.

You can route your RTMP stream through a VPN. It requires some kind of VPN bridge between the two local networks your streaming bridge and the remote ATEM Mini Pro are on. That requires at least one of the VPN endpoints a a globally routable IP address and two VPN devices. The Streaming bridge itself doesn't connect to a VPN service.

I still don't get it why an innovative company like Blackmagic still doesn't support IPv6. It's 2021. smh.
