ATEM mini pro overheating issues

PostFri Apr 16, 2021 7:57 am

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has experienced any overheating issues with the atem mini pro? We're planning to broadcast for a long period (about 20 hours) and I'm concerned about any issues with overheating and shutdown.

thanks

I regularly stream 12-16 hours with the AMP. It gets hot, but stays stable. I also have an ATEM Mini that is powered on weeks at a time. The only time I ever heard the built in fan kicked in was firmware upgrade. Does the fan come on often?

If you're concern and want to augment with external cooling, then check out the link below. This style is popular because you can align it with the air vents, and this one comes with a temperature monitoring feature. I feel this style is more effective than others. When positioned on the left, it draws out hot air and compliments the internal fan.

I've gone up to 8 hours without issue. Just keep the vents clear.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
