BMPCC4K rubber covers?

My camera is always in a Smallrig cage, and when plugging/unplugging things the three rubber covers are a pain in the patootie.

Do you just rip them off? Struggle with them? What do you do?

just pull out

slow pull out does not destroy the covers

I carefully pulled mine off. PITA using them.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
