Suggested Feature use for Extreme usb-c port - Video Output

PostMon May 10, 2021 8:12 pm

Having upgraded to the ATEM Mini Extreme (from the Pro), as it has 2 HDMI outputs and having purchased a small 1080p monitor for the preview that can be usb-c powered and connected, it struck ne that that would be an exceptionally useful enhancement for the Extreme (& even Pro), allowing a multi-view monitor powered & connected via usb-c leaving the HDMI out(s) for main displays.
[The monitor I bought was from Amazon, has a 15.6in screen and is made by "Pisichen" (a Chinese mfr) and seems to have a model # of HD156.]

The USB outputs are processed on a different way and are not direct linked to the video engine of the Atem. So not possible!!! This discussion been there a few times people trying to get a USB-C to HDMI converter working.. But it's doesn't work that way, it's NOT a computer!!! Sorry..

Alternative seems to be to use Seetec Atem 156 which gives a quad display from 4*HDMI inputs with pass through outputs (so inserted in signal chain between camera and AMP
