Red 5k vs. 4k

The production we're working on wants to shoot Red 5K. Time on this job is tight and only ending up on HD.
To save a bit of time rendering should I be suggesting they shoot 4K or 2K.
Secondly, we have a Red rocket card but will have to take out the Quadro Nvidia card to put it in.
Would this be a good idea or should we leave the Quadro in.
