Hi.
In my church we are in the middle om choosing new hardware for out presentation solution - both inhouse and for livestreaming.
At the moment we have a main screen (projector) which either shows our presentation software (EasyWorship) from a PC, or a presentation from the preacher PC. (another pc)
At the moment we have no "preview" option before swithing between the two computers, but it is a big wish.
In the future we sould have more inputs. (cameraes and stuff) - also we would like to LiveStream our services to facebook og youtube channels.

I'm pretty sure that the ATEM mini (maybe extreme) can do much of the stuff we need, - but can it handle all om them at the same time?

We would like to send either input one or two to the main screen (projetor) - this takes HDMI1 output.
We would like to have preview/Multiview.. - this takes the HDMI2 output.

we would like to send live to eg. youtube with a program where cameras or combined with either input one or two (properly a picture in picture solution).
But for this last thing we have no more HDMI outputs. Is it possible to make a third output to the livestream or the USB-C outs? - or would this output always be the same as HDMI1 output one ?

Hope my question makes sense.

Best regards.
Henrik Laursen

Hi

I handle all the Video production for our church - and we use a lot of BMD hardware - but instead of using a manual external switcher for switching between EasyWorship and Preacher presentation - why not consider using a PC with multiple HDMI capture (such as Declink Quad HDMI) and then use OBS software for the switcher.

This would give you great flexibility and you can preview all the inputs, and set up hold-screens, overlays (such as animated lower 3rds for titles etc) AND will handle all your Livestream requirements too. Your front of house experience will be greatly enhanced. (Never see a mouse cursor on the projector screens, never see the preachers Powerpoint in edit mode!)

You should also consider moving from EasyWorship to ProPresenter - it's a big switch, but we found it was very much worth it.

*EDIT* It would also allow you to overlay your song lyrics on top of live video feeds from cameras.

ATEM Mini Extreme does all this for me:
Multiple Cameras
Picture in Picture
1 HDMI out to 2nd or more Auditoriums
2nd HDMI to small monitor that shows my camera images, preview, and what I LiveStream.
Ethernet to Dedicated Computer with it's own monitor for LiveStream and ATEM Software Control.

The output quality is much better than what you get with a cell phone or tablet.

What I need to do next is simultaneously stream to both my YouTube and my Church FaceBook pages.
Right now we have someone posting a link to my YouTube page each week.
Note: FaceBook is only 720P while a free YouTube channel is 1080P (much better image)
