I'm looking to try some of the apps which (claim) to allow you to control the Atem Mini Pros from iOS. Many however require a an IP Address.

Is there anyway from within the Atem Software to identify the IP address it is allocated via DHCP?

This is especially useful if you are wanting to connect something like the Blackmagic Export tool when you're already using USB for webcam.

The Setup utility in the Blackmagic folder should get you there.

usually I find the IP address there, but in recent test streams I was unable to get it. There was one or even two firmware updates between, so maybe there have been changes in that area. I often use iPad remote apps, and therefore could not use them anymore because they need the IP address of the device.

Do people recommend a static IP address?

always is a static IP the better option

Our IT department does not allow static IP assignments, so that's not an option for us.

Has anyone found a way to display the IP address? In the setup app, I can select a device by typing in an IP address or selecting it by name. But, when selecting it by name, it does not show the IP address associated with the name.

Surely there must be a simple way to find this.

can your IT department configure the DHCP server to assign a fixed IP to a device with it's mac address ?

on my side, I'd like the atem to be able to use 2 vlans, one for control and one for streaming...
