ATEM Mini Pro: Letterboxed downscaling of 3440x1440

PostSun Jul 25, 2021 2:16 am

Is it possible for the ATEM Mini Pro to do a forced letterboxed downscale of a 3440x1440 Ultrawide HDMI input? I'd like to stream out my computer desktop through my ATEM Mini Pro, but I can't seem to do it without having to run the computer desktop at 1920x1080 resolution.

If the Mini Pro can't do this natively, any suggestions on a simple/inexpensive HDMI downscaling solution that I could maybe put in between my graphics card output and the Mini Pro HDMI input so I can do this?

Doesn’t OSX typically letterbox the wider aspect ratio when mirroring? For example my MBP display becomes letterboxed when mirroring any 16:9 aspect ratios regardless of resolution. If I output 1920x1080 my native desktop will be letterboxed at 1680x1050 which is just a virtual resolution anyway, the monitor is 2880X1800 actual.

Maybe try setting the output that’s feeding the AMP as the primary OS monitor and the behavior will follow.

Good Luck
