I found the problem was that Windows 10 minimised the program, and gave me no way (on the desktop) to maximise it. I had to:
- launch Task Manager
- select the "ATEM Software Control.exe"
- double-click to select the "ATEM Mini Pro ISO" process
- <right click> and select maximise.

I am curious how this situation arose, but leave it in this forum to help any others that might be beset with the same problem

I am having no success opening the ATEM Software Control on a new Alienware - Windows 10 PC. (new clean install)

1. ATEM Setup works normally detecting the ATEM and showing the correct IP
2. When I launch the ATEM Software Control:
- splash screen shows correctly for one second, then disappears
- Task Bar. ATEM Software Control Icon displays (small popup window above it has correct title "ATEM Mini Pro ISO"
3 - BUT, no main window opens. Double clicking on the Task Bar icon has no effect.
4. - Windows Task Manager shows the .exe app running, using 176MB memory
5. - The app shows running on the Task Bar

So the software is running but invisible!
5. Turning off McAfee and MS Firewalls makes no difference.
6 Both versions 8.6.2 and 8.6.1 have the same problem, BUT
7. The software works perfectly on an identical PC (except diff graphics card).

9. Running it with Administrator user has no effect.


I feel like there must be something very simple that is wrong that I am missing.

I would be very grateful if anyone has suggestions.....

Thanks Rich, you saved my day!
I re-installed it but that didn't solve it. Looked for %appdata% entries to no avail. Tried Windows+Up but that didn't work either...
But setting the window status via the Task Manager did the trick.
