since many are now turning their backs on adobe
and have found an almost 100% replacement in affinity photo,
the graphics plugin for affinity photo would be welcome.

on my end, I'd like a gimp plugin that works on all plaforms...

Anything that is more cost effective.

Or make it work reliably with Photoshop elements.

50.- for a single lifetime license of affinity photo is way more cost effective as PS elements ; -)
(sometimes you can get it for 28.-)

I'll echo the request for Affinity Photo ATEM export plugin!!!

Yes i agree i use Affinity photo all three items, Dropped PS a few years ago.

I have created a macro that prepares any graphic for export to the ATEM media pool. It does the following:

1. Select all
2. Group
3. Merge visible
4. Select only the group
5. Set invisible
6. Select the merged pixel layer
7. Multiply by Alpha

You can now export the image as PNG and use it in the media pool.

Just to point it out, while the Affinity Photo license is perpetual, it only includes upgrades within the major version, and there is unlikely to be upgrade pricing. You will probably need to buy it again from scratch when 2.0 comes out if you want to stay current - though that will still be dramatically cheaper than the Adobe options.

Also, there is currently no support for export plugins in Affinity Photo, so BMD would have no way to develop this no matter how much you beg them to do so. While Serif has indicated that Affinity Photo will eventually support a native plugin API, it is not clear if that will ever include support for export plugins, nor has any particular version or timeframe for the plugin API been committed to.

That is the first thing i did is make one.

But i do the design in the apple app Logoist 4 and then send to affinity. Logoist i find much faster to work in. And i love the quick pick color setting and effects. I export as PGN and then in Affinity i run the action i made and its ready in a second.

According to Serif, Affinity can import any 64 bit Adobe plugin, the trouble is there doesn't seem to be a way to download it directly because the ATEM installer installs it automatically when it detects Adobe.

Is that true? If so, where can we find the plugin?

I'd actually prefer an Affinity Designer plugin...for vector graphics on the ATEM...but will take an AF Photo plugin.

It looks to me like all they need to do is put the plugin into a folder and let us install it.

Right now, the installer only installs the plugin if it detects Adobe is already installed.

For what it's worth, by putting the plugins in a folder every time, and not just in cases where Adobe is already installed would also be helpful for people who decide to install Adobe AFTER the ATEM software.

Yet another bump. This would be amazing if we had this plugin!

Yes! I was just feeling the need today when creating some lower thirds in my affinity photo - would be great to get these into the atem via a single click!
