ATEM Mini Pro ISO File Format

PostMon Aug 30, 2021 5:47 pm

Does it matter if the SSD recording the ISO is formatted in the exFat or NTSF file system?

We got stuck without a Samsung T5 and bought the only available SSD which was a T7.
The first time we used the T7 to record the ISO all went fine.
But the second time the T7 was attempted for recording, the ATEM Record Light remained orange and would not turn green indicating ready to record. The only differences was we had reformatted from exFat to NTSF. Just wondering if the problem is a formatting issue or the T7 just is not fast enough.

We are also get a "File path not valid" error when trying to offload the ISO file from SSD's which have an NTSF formatting. Even the T5 is showing this error.

From page 57 of the manual: "Set the format to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or exFAT."

NTFS is not supported. There is support for a macOS file system but I have seen quite some messages from people using that file system with problems. I personally stick with exFAT as it's a much simpler filesystem. For this use case there is no advantage in using the one or the other.

I have the same issue, I´ve format the t7 exFAT, Allocation file size 128kb, but Atem mini extreme iso recognize the disk, but doesn´t record, and sometimes does NOT RECOGNIZE the SSD.

Just wanted to report I'm having the same issue with my ATEM Mini Pro ISO and the Samsung T5.

Formatted, plugged in, hit REC, and nothing happens :(

Did you ever figure out what the issue was?

Hello, I use a very "cheap" like this one :

in extFat and really no problem at all.
