SmartVideoHub to TV

PostSat Nov 02, 2013 6:45 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to get 3 LED TVs connected to different outputs from the VideoHub. The TVs have antenna, hdmi and composite inputs.

Without creating a new thread, I would also like to control the hyperdeck recording and playback using either ethernet or USB. is this possible?

The Videohub family are SDI only. To use the Videohub with consumer televisions you will need to convert the HD/SD-SDI signal to HDMI or Composite. http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/media/139074/sditohdmi.jpg

HyperDeck control: Short answer = No. If you require that capability then get a Pix-260.

actually an ipad can do all you need ...

see here:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hyperre ... 79489?mt=8

or

... it can also change all your routes with the ipad videohub app

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/blackma ... 27250?mt=8

only issue i have is with the blackmagic sdi to hdmi devices not always locking to changes in sdi source resolutions ... ie ... i route an hdsdi signal to it, then change that to sdsdi i have to power cycle the mini converter ... its not a tv issue because the sdi link light won't lock to the source until the power cycle so if you need this capability know that limitation.
