This phenomenon resembles a head clog of days gone by. (See attached frame grab - ignore top part of image... blacked out due to Actors' Equity. It does not appear to have originated in the camera - I also record on SD cards and they do not have the dropout. I have reused the SSD since and have not noticed any dropouts. Anyone have similar experiences?

Thank you.

Hyperdeck Studio (2 months old) - current drivers
PNY 240GB Prevail SSD (firmware 5.0.2) (SSD9SC240GCDA-PVL)
Prores 422 HQ codec
HD-SDI signal flow - cables under 6 feet - no wireless
Sony PMW-EX3 - recorded in 1080i, 29.97
All equipment on battery backups.

Yes, same problem.

This deck is a couple of months old. We use it every Wednesday night.

We are having the same problem on the hyper deck.
Recording at 1080/60i
Using external genlock (bi-level generator) feeding switcher and audio land.

Feed to deck is Tricaster. Tricaster is recording this switched output plus six iso cameras and the files are clean.
The Hyperdeck is just a backup to the switch but is worthless.
We record a 3 hour show. The glitches come in waves with no rhyme or reason. It will usually start occurring within 10 minutes of record start and glitch for a couple of minutes (nothing syncopated) and then perform well for an hour, ETC.

My trouble shooting will be to change drives, remove external genlock, alternative video source, different record frequency/framerates.

Blackmagic engineers: please advise. I can send you a video of the dropouts.

Intermittent drops could be a number of things. If you'd like more help with this from our support team, you can find the contact info on the company tab of our websites main page. You'd want to be as detailed as possible with your description so we can narrow down the problem.
