HyperDeck Extreme 8K Expensive Disappointment

I understand Blackmagic's preoccupation with the products needed during the pandemic to make everyone on earth a webcaster but the higher end stuff needs attention NOW. How is it that firmware has not come out yet to allow the Extreme 8K to record more than one 3G (or even 4K) source at a time? MP4 records have become the norm, how hard would it be to add this codec to the Extreme 8K. I know it does h.265 but that codec is still a hard sell for the clients for some reason. We paid the big bucks for these early on because they could record single level 12G and seemed to hold tremendous potential for future feature additions but everyone has caught up with 12G recording for a lot less money and with better features. This product has proven to be Extreme-ly disappointing.
