VGA/HDMI Scalers for ATEM

PostTue Nov 05, 2013 12:14 am

Has anybody used the Grass Valley ADVC-G1 as a scaler for your ATEM switcher? I'm looking for something to handle computer inputs for a ATEM 4k I ME. Need to be able to handle a variety of inputs (HDMI, VGA) and scale to 1080p and output to SDI.

I was also looking at the Bright Eye Mitto but not sure if I want to spend that much money. Any Suggestions?

Datavideo released their DAC-70 which support VGA, HDMI and SDI and will up/down/cross convert and it's only $400 or so.

Thanks Chad! I will check the Datavideo. So cheap, I will pick one up and see if it works. If not, then on to the bright eye.
