For anyone who comes across this post, I contacted customer service and they had me roll back the ATEM software to 8.1 on my laptop. That took care of the flicker but now I get the dreaded "no device connected" message in the ATEM control software. This is with ethernet and USB cables plugged in.
Now, that's where the chroma key settings are, so this is a big issue for me. I plug the ATEM into my desktop, which is still running ATEM software 8.6 and I can restore the setting and make adjustments. When it's time to go live, I have to unplug from the desktop and go back into the desktop, which limits me exclusively to the controls on the actual unit.
I'll be contacting customer service tomorrow and will try to update whatever solution I am given.
