Video delay on hdmi

PostSat Oct 23, 2021 10:56 am

Hello
I have multiple different cameras, when I do a live stream through atem mini or another HDMI switcher, I have audio going into one camera and use the rest for video.
These other cameras have a bit of HDMI lag how can I adjust the video delay, not audio, to match each other?

I know I need hardware, I don't want to do it through programs, as I have all this mounted on tripods for fast movement of setups from one location to another.

Thanks in advance.

Video delay is expensive. Buy matching cameras instead OR use the slowest cameras only for wide shots.

Sounds to me that you have to delay the audio and not the video?!?

You might want to look at an external audio mixer. Most mixers have the ability to add a delay per input on on the output. One of the latest firmware versions for the ATEM Mini line of switchers has also added support for audio delay on the audio inputs. It's much easier and cheaper to delay audio than to delay a video signal that carries the audio.
