No green SSD light on Hyperdeck shuttle 2

Hi there,

On school we have a Black magic hyperdeck shuttle 2, with a samsung 256gb ssd. But I can't get it to work. The green ssd light stays off and I can't record. I formatted the ssd already to exfat and HFS.

Can someone help me out?

I've had the same problem with 2 Samsung SSD's 840 /500GB in combination with a Hyperdeck studio.
Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.
After updating the firmware of the disks and hyperdeck the problem was gone.
It now takes only some more time for the disks to be recognized compared to the OCZ Vertex3 250GB disk wich I also use.

How do you update the firmware of the ssd? apparently you can't update the firmware with a usb adapter..
