Can I convert a SXGA (1280x1024) signal to 1080p with the Blackmagic Design Mini Converter UpDownCross HD?

I just looked at the decimator HD and cross, but as for the BlackMagic nothing in the manual or description shows sxga support.
This sxga is driving me crazy... I would like to turn it into 1080p so that the atem mini can support my device in sxga.
The medical device I'm looking to suit outputs sxga to HDMI, sdi, dvi, or coax, but 1280x1024 is not supported by the atem mini, if anyone has a solution I'm interested.

Medical devices are notorius for weird resolutions and framerates.. Decimator won that game many times.!!

blackmagic products supports only broadcast defined and supported resolutions

I can confirm UpDownCross HD can convert 1280x1024 to 1080i with black bars on left and right, just did it with my PC yesterday (with DVI>HDMI converter). If you're still in doubt, PM me and I'll try to perform some tests.
