Setting Hyperdeck Resolution

PostFri Jan 14, 2022 5:15 pm

I just got a Hyperdeck Studio HD Plus and I'm trying to get it to record in 4k as advertised. I have my camera outputting at 4k but the Hyperdeck is recording at 1080p. Any idea how to fix this? Is there some software I need to download, and if so, does anyone know where to find it?

H264 is limited to 1080p. ProRes and DNx should do 4K.

Are you absolutely sure the camera is sending 4k? A lot of cameras (most) record in a different format than they're sending out the output. Are you using SDI or HDMI? Can you verify the signal format on the wire via another unit like a monitor?
