UltraStudio Monitor 3G on a 2017 Macbook Pro not working

PostMon Jan 24, 2022 1:00 pm

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro with the four thunderbolt 3 ports. I recently purchased two of these Ultrastudio monitor 3g devices and neither of them are working. Well they work, but I'm not getting a feed. From within the Desktop Video Setup it keeps saying No Desktop Video Device Detected. I have used 3 different monitors with HDMI and SDI, but nothing is working. Inside of the System Settings I see the device connected, but nothing is working. Any ideas?

- Are you sure you're using a quality Thunderbolt 3 cable and not a USB-C cable?
- Have you followed the steps documented in this forum plenty of times regarding Apples new security settings for Big Sur?
- What is your video source to the unit? (Ultrastudio units do not show your regular desktop, you need special software to output via these units)
- What display/switcher are you connected to?
