Dear Sir, Madam or whom may concern.

I am new on using HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR, four questions on playing my film with the main spec. as below: yes, this great facility bought just for playing the existing film. That was theater why bought it for..

(Please don’t ask me why such spec. was, as theater owner asked me to make its kind)

8K film:
8K ProRes 422 LT SDR(or HDR)
Resolution: 7680 x 4320
Colorspace: Rec709
Bitrate: 3Gbps
Framerate: 24fps
Audio: 2.0 STEREO

4K film:
4K ProRes 422 LT SDR(or HDR)
Resolution: 3840 x 2160
Colorspace: Rec709
Bitrate: 1Gbps
Framerate: 24fps
Audio: 2.0 STEREO

**Question 1: Is SDI or HDMI the best connection from HyperDesk Extreme 8K HDR to 8K projector and sound system to play the films with spec. above.

**Question 2: Is HyperDesk Extreme 8K HDR only can play the film with Audio 2.0 STEREO, can’t it play film with either audio 5.1 or 7.1? (The facility supplier says only for 2.0 Stereo, even I don’t believe him from the manu)

**Question 3: can HyperDesk Extreme 8K HDR be connected to fiber HDMI wire to play either ProRes 8K or 4K film with audio 5.1 or 7.1 or more tracks(channels)? Or just HDMI 2.1 is OK?

**Question 4: can HyperDesk Extreme 8K HDR play the film with higher spec. Like ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 4444 or ProRes 4444 XQ?

Thanks for your time reading my descriptions and answer me
in advance!

1) The HyperDeck 8K Extreme only has a single HDMI 2.0 port, but HDMI 2.1 is required for 8K output over a single HDMI port. So for 8K output from the HyperDeck you would need to use the 4 SDI ports (quad link SDI).

2) Up to 16 channels of embedded audio are supported over SDI input and output.

3) Since the HDMI port is HDMI 2.0 (not 2.1), you'd be limited to 4K output from that port.

4) ProRes 4444 is not supported, but the HyperDeck 8K Extreme does support ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 HQ, however, most CFast cards are not fast enough to be able to support the higher data rate needed for these codecs in 8K 60fps. So you would likely need to use an external USB-C disk for those formats. See recommended media here: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/faq/59027
